Army Goodwill Public School Pahalgam conducted investiture ceremony cum teacher’s day celebrations today on 29th Aug 2017 in the school campus. Maj Gen B S Raju, YSM GOC CIF (V), Patron of the school was Chief Guest of the event. It was an impressive function which was also attended by other dignitaries including Mrs Shakunta Madam, President AWWA, CIF (V), Col S N Singh, Offg Chairman SMC, Col C P Singh, Secretary SMC, Col Manas S Dixit, CO 8 Madras and other officers of the Army.
Teacher’s Day function was organized in advance keeping in view the forthcoming Eid ul Azha (Bakr Eid) break. The event stared with paying homage to the former president Dr S Radhakrisnan. Chief Guest led the in paying floral tributes to former president Dr S Radhakrisnan. In his Welcome Address Mr. Ramesha M L, Principal summarized the importance of Teacher’s Day and Investiture Ceremony.
In his address to the staff and students Maj Gen B S Raju, YSM GOC CIF (V) focused on the discipline and leadership qualities among the students. Maj Gen B S Raju, YSM GOC CIF (V) appreciated and acknowledged the teachers efforts in bringing up the level of school. Maj Gen B S Raju, YSM GOC CIF (V) presented mementoes to the teachers and merit certificates to the students.
Students presented a song and a dance show projecting the importance of the teachers.
Maj Gen B S Raju, YSM, GOC CIF (V), Chief Guest of the event badged the newly formed Prefectural Board. The newly formed Prefectural Board was administered oath for being sincere and committed to their respective assignments.
Maj Gen B S Raju, YSM, GOC CIF (V), Chief Guest inaugurated the Equestrian Club of school by flagging off four Horse Riders. Students presented Yoga show which was appreciated by all presented. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
