Army Goodwill School,Pahalgam was formally inaugurated on 12th of November 2008 by then Chief of Army Staff Gen Deepak Kapoor PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC.A new era dawned in the history of Kashmir when two stalwarts of India,a statesman the then Hon’ble CM of J & K,Sh. Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and General NC Vij , PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, ADC, the then Chief Of Army Staff conceived and embarked on a mission to establish a residential school par excellence with an objective of providing quality education to the children of J & K.
