1. Fresh admissions to the school will be made prior to the start of the new session, i.e., in the months of February & March. Admission to children coming on transfer from outstation can be made at any time during the year, and they will not be denied admission. However, admissions in Classes IX–XII will be subject to the stipulations laid down by CBSE.

Admission Procedure and Admission Tests

2. Lateral Admission. Following categories of children will be admitted based on Transfer Certificate (TC) from previous schools without an admission test:

(a) Children who are coming after passing/promotion to the next class on TC from another AGPS/Army School/KV between the period 01 Apr to 31 Jul.

(b) Children who have studied for 10 academic months in another APS/Army School/KV and are seeking admission after 31 Jul.

(c) An evaluation test may be conducted for such children to facilitate academic support and section allocation. However, this will not be treated as an admission test, and eligible students will be allowed to attend classes within 48 hours of reporting to the school.

3. Admission Test. The admission test will follow the under-mentioned procedure:

(a) Admission to the school will be in Classes VI, VII & VIII only. Exceptional cases for higher classes may be considered with due permission from the Chairman.

(b) The school will initiate a minute sheet indicating vacancies and proposed dates of the admission test.

4. Admission to Class XI. Meeting the eligibility criteria in terms of minimum percentage does not guarantee admission. Admission will depend on relative merit and availability of seats. No special weightage will be given to any stream.

5. Subjects for Admission Tests. The admission test will be conducted in the following subjects:

VI	General English (20), General Knowledge (20), Science (20), Mathematics (20) (MCQs). Based on previous class NCERT syllabus. Approximately 60–65 seats filled on merit.
VII, VIII, IX	General English (20), General Knowledge (20), Science (20), Mathematics (20) (MCQs). Based on previous class NCERT syllabus. Admission depends on seat availability.
XI	PCM / PCB: General English (20), Mathematics (20), Science (40) (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Based on previous class NCERT syllabus. Admission depends on merit and seat availability.

6. Age Limit

The age for admission will be calculated as on 01 April of the admission year. Relaxation may be granted by the Board of Officers.
